NO, reservations are not required for our interpretive centre tour. A new program starts every half hour. It will include a 30 minute interpretive talk. This is great for the whole family!
YES, a reservation is required for our Walk With Wolves Tour with Blackwolf Photography. Get your camera ready and your hiking shoes for an up close and personal walk with wolves in the wild. Space and times are limited.
*Must be at least 16 years old and have mobility to walk in the wilderness.
No, there is no interaction with the wolves if you come to our centre to participate in an interpretive tour. You will be able to see the wolves and take photos, but will have no up-close and personal encounters.
Yes, the Blackwolf Photography Tours do allow you to interact with a wolf on their own terms. Direct interactions are not guaranteed on these walks but, the wolf is off-leash and welcome to interact with you as they please, so it is a possibility. These walks require a reservation and you must be 16 years or older to participate.
NO, all of our wolves were adopted from captive breeding programs at affiliated wildlife centres in North America.

Grab your camera and get ready for an adventure while our wolves are on their exercise hike in the wilderness of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
Limited to a maximum group of 6 people, must be at least 16 years old and have good mobility to walk in the wilderness, some restrictions apply.
We have seen all types of cameras here at the wolf centre; from cell phone cameras, point-and-shoot, to high tech digital cameras. It all depends on the quality you would like.
We do operate year round in all weather conditions, please protect your electronics accordingly to weather conditions.
YES, rain, shine, or snow we are open daily, year-round – with the exception of Christmas Day. Grab your rain boots or throw on your winter coat and come spend a day with the wolves!
Yes. We do not recommend bringing large RVs and Buses into the centre’s parking lot but, there is lots of available space for large vehicles on our road. There is a turnaround at the end of the road to help get you in the right direction.
NO, For your safety and to respect the territory our wolf pack, we kindly ask that you do not bring your family dog or pets on to our property.
Northern Lights Wolf Centre does not support the breeding of wolf dogs as pets, nor are any of our wolves wolf-dogs.
Unfortunately we do not have the capacity or space to shelter wolf-dogs. We do not operate as an animal shelter or take in injured or abandoned wild animals.
Our wolves live in large enclosures at the wolf centre. The wolves are grouped together with other members from the pack that get along with each other. Every wolf gets out to stretch their legs a few times a week for a run in the wilderness or in our 3.5 acre exercise enclosure on the property.

YES, It costs a lot to feed our wolf pack!
We greatly accept road kill from local conservation officers, unused meat from hunters, freezer burnt meat, and more.
If you have meat to donate, please call us to arrange details of the donation. Sometimes we have picky eaters so we want to be sure nothing is going to waste!
